Heading to the Amazon, going dark

Bill and I head out early Thursday for Iquitos, the largest city in the world that is inaccessible via road. As in, there are no roads leading to it. You can only reach Iquitos via boat or plane. We opted for plane. From there we will head 100km down river to Otorongo Eco Lodge where we will fish (and eat) piranha, search for monkeys and pink fresh water dolphins, see giant water lilies, and much more.

Oh! And the lodge is located in an area heavily populated by the Pygmy Marmoset, the smallest monkey in the world and one of the smallest primates in existence!

We'll be dark until Sunday or Monday when we return to Iquitos for a possible medicinal journey. Stay tuned!
